About the Instructor
Dr. Philip Gibson a native of Jamaica graduated summa cum laude from Prairie View A & M University. He then went to Texas Tech University where he received his Ph.D. in 2012. Before coming to Winthrop University, Dr. Gibson was an Assistant Professor of Finance at the University of the Incarnate Word. His research interests include mutual fund performance, asset management, and investment advisor relationship with households. During his spare time, Dr. Gibson enjoys playing tennis and tending to his pet rock collection.
